It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas across FirstPort developments up and down the country! From carol singing and Christmas jumper-wearing to on-site markets and charitable giving, our residents and teams are certainly having lots of festive fun.
Deck the Halls
From small decorations to grand displays, FirstPort developments have been pulling out all the stops. A special shout-out goes to The Playfair in Edinburgh, where a majestic 12ft Christmas tree has taken pride of place in the entranceway, dazzling residents and visitors alike.
Festive Fun
What’s Christmas without a visit from Santa? At Tembani Court, Santa made his annual stop, spreading holiday cheer to all 100 residents.
Meanwhile, Maria, the Development Manager at Eden Court in Fife, has been busy arranging a host of festivities for residents. The Christmas fun kicked off with an on-site festive market featuring nine local businesses, so residents didn’t even need to leave their building to get their holiday shopping done! Santa and his helpers made an appearance there too, serving mulled wine and mince pies. But the celebrations didn’t stop there – Maria also helped to organise a Christmas party complete with outside catering and live music.
A Time for Giving
At Laurel Court in Folkestone, Development Manager Dianne and her team spread the holiday cheer by donating 256 advent calendars to a local primary school – enough for every student. These little gifts of joy were made possible thanks to the generous contributions from residents, their families, carers, and FirstPort colleagues.
Over at Sawyers Court, the Christmas spirit was in full swing with residents pitching in to create holiday hampers for local families in need. These hampers were added to the site’s year-round contributions to the local foodbank.
Christmas Jumper Joy
Nothing says ‘festive’ more than donning your finest (or quirkiest) Christmas jumper, and FirstPort colleagues didn’t disappoint. Colleagues embraced the spirit of Christmas Jumper Day, raising money for FirstPort’s registered charity, Tommy Club.
Getting Crafty
St Augusta Court in St Albans have been busy decking the halls with DIY delight this year, with residents embracing eco-friendly decor and creating sustainable Christmas crafts. This included table centrepieces made from the garden’s foliage, recycled decorations, bird-treats crafted from apples, and fragrant orange pomanders with reusable ribbons.
We wish you all a merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year!
