The ARMA Ace awards celebrating professionalism in the property management sector were held last week. As you can see Coral was delighted to win the Service Charge Accountant of the Year award.
Our Concierge colleague, Zane Anise, was also Highly Commended in the on-site staff member of the year category.
FirstPort was also Highly Commended as Largest Managing Agent of the Year.
As part of her role, Coral Norton works closely with residents daily, as their FirstPort finance contact, as a reliable source of information and queries resolution. Currently Coral overseas just under 300 developments.
She assists in educating clients by attending developments for accounts & budget meetings, supporting operational staff on more challenging sites. Frequently she attends meetings with regional managers to keep everyone updated with finance business changes, and regularly assists the Director of Retirement in answering financial complaints.
She explains each section of the service charge accounts, budgets and explains how our year-end process works in detail. Coral created a Balance Sheet Guide for leaseholders to help them understand and read their year-end accounts.
Coral has also created a 15-year reserve fund plan for retirement developments. This plan clearly sets out to residents where their money is going and what it is being used for. Where requested, Coral will visit developments to sit with residents to discuss the plan in detail. She works tirelessly to demystify the complexities of financial issues to residents and non-finance people.
How could she not be a winner?!
Congratulations Coral and Zane, we’re very proud of you both.
