FirstPort has received the Cyber Essentials Plus certification, showing that our systems and processes have been independently audited and assured as fit to guard against common cyber attacks.
The Cyber Essentials scheme is run by UK governmental body, the National Cyber Security Centre. To achieve the Cyber Essential Plus certification, FirstPort’s IT systems were audited by global cyber security and risk mitigation expert, NCC Group.
As we continue to deliver more of our customer service through digital channels, this assures customers and clients that their data is in good hands.
Nigel Howell, Chief Executive of FirstPort, said: “This award reassures customers that we take cyber security seriously. We secured ‘Cyber Essentials’ basic over the summer and now this higher level certification has been won through hard work by FirstPort staff who are committed to delivering for our customers and who are acutely aware of the risks posed by cybercrime.”
This award was secured as part of FirstPort’s work in continuously improving its systems and controls for Information Security and Data Protection in line with regulations.
