We are pleased to share that The FirstPort Group has successfully obtained the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) 14001 Environmental Management Certification, reinforcing our commitment to environmental responsibility.
The ISO 14001 is in place to demonstrate commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainability. It can help to reduce an organisation’s negative impact on the planet, such as water and energy usage, pollution, and waste.
The certification was obtained via a comprehensive audit of FirstPort’s Environmental Management Systems, which took place in December 2024. The audit involves assessing policies and processes, looking at our impact and aspects towards the environment which includes risk and our supply chain.
The ISO 14001 framework aids organisations in improving environmental performance by reducing their carbon footprint, ensuring legal compliance, and promoting sustainability.
Speaking about the achievement, Kelly Buckley, FirstPort’s Head of Data Privacy and Compliance, said: “Having first achieved the global certification in 2021, the ISO 14001 certification is helping us to build a culture of sustainability, maintaining high standards and leading by example.
“This framework enables us to enhance our environmental performance, and it is a result of the dedication and hard work of everyone at FirstPort.”
